6700xt General Discussion

Any idea for soc settings?

Hi guys, I recently added a 6700 XT to my rig. Its been running for 36 hours and it produced 10 invalid shares, along this time Iā€™ve tweaked the OC settings but until now I wasnt able to stop the invalid shares. I started with 1300 core, 1075 memory, and got 45-47mh/s. Iā€™m also getting a high percentage of stale valid shares, which I donā€™t remember getting before the 6700 XT was added to the rig. Iā€™m using Phoenixminer - the stales only appear on the miner console, as shown in the picture, they do not appear in either HiveOS or Ethermine, but they do seem to be influencing my effective speed as it should be higher by about 10mhs than it currently is. Does anyone have a suggestion on how can I stop the invalid and stale shares? Is there a log or a mean of checking which GPU is producing stale shares?

Hi. Try remove all VDD/VDDCI/MVDD settings.
Also use Team red miner for 6700xt. There stable hash rate and there not so much stale and invalid shares. Also little advice, you cards is HOTā€¦ and i dont mean ā€œlook hotā€. In Autofan set up minimal 60% speed. for a wileā€¦ And max 80-90% for temp memory over 85 degrees. Hope it help!)

Im getting 21M.

With stock setting (no OC) - 21M
With mem 1075, still 21M
with core 1300, mem 1075 I got freeze within 1 minute.

Tried PhoenixMiner, and TeamRedMiner.

Strage that bios is still xxx.
Any tips, command (for kernel or driver update)?

gigabyte eagle? random people with this cards talking about low hashrateā€¦ seems there some problem with this version of 6700XTs.
look at ā€œBios: xxx-xxx-xxxā€ - maybe problem hides here

Thanks. It is stock BIOS. But I have another package here.
I dont know why is there (xxx-xxx-xxx).

Or if it meands that current GPU drivers are unable to communicate with this (new) type/model of card,
or there is different issue.

EDIT:

I have found ANOTHER Gigabyte 6700xt card.
1st is Eagle edition (blue led)
2nd is Gaming edition, (RGB led).

Boxes and card looks almost the same.
Difference is:

And the cool thing, 1st works just with 1076 mem, (1075 makes it crash), like users here are saying ( @LazyPanda ). 43-44M.
2nd card, when switched from 1076 to 1075mem, insta there is 46-47M.
Core 1300 or 1350 dont matter, PL, VDD, fan ā€¦ all same or irrelevant. So 1st (Eagle) is really kinda picky and stucks on 44M.

Any tips for 1st card to make it works also on 47M+ ?
Maybe a BIOS update for this kind? ā€¦since it crashes when lowering mem even by 1.

Hi eagle brother)))
So i think we just need to wait reslly good update.
Otherwise we stuck at 43-44 mh. And its sucksā€¦
Btw i dont found any information about bios and changing bios setting. So i stop to look, and stsrt wait like Hachiā€¦
Ps: memory can work below 1000, and over 1076.

Hello all,
i have 3x Gigabyte 6700XT Eagle and works fine.
You can see the details in the Pic.
HiveOS Version is 0.6-203@210421 but it worked fine from earlier versions.

Noā€¦ Godā€¦ Please noā€¦
Cant believeā€¦send pics of cards and in ours bios is onle xxx-xxx-xxx, but yours is fine.

You think they will help? With BIOS?

Mine are also fine, no bios mods. Just latest Hive and miner.

No BIOS MODs here tooā€¦
If you have the same card i can send you the BIOS File if that helps.

By the way does anyone found a way to tweak the memory with amdmemorytweak or something like that?

OK. but whats your rev card? can you add pic? Mine is:
GIGABYTE Radeon RX 6700 XT 12288Mb EAGLE (GV-R67XTEAGLE-12GD)
If it will be the same. Will be good if you send bios. Will try.

UPD: Just try yours settings and what i got. :frowning:

Its work near 30 secondsā€¦ lolā€¦ at 45 mh system downā€¦

Yours cards from another manufacturer) We met this problem at Eagle.

I have the same model and itā€™s Rev V.1.0
Try with lower MemClock. Maybe @ 1070 instead. (Silicon lottery)
And the BIOS name is RadeonRX6700/6700XT-12G-Samsung_GDDR6-113-D51221-R67XTE.rom

Mine BIOS Rig0-0-RadeonRX6700/6700XT-12G-Samsung_GDDR6-xxx-xxx-xxx.rom
Any frequencies in between 1000-1075 leads to system crush, belivie i try all of them.

Hi, @LazyPanda
Do you think that any fresh BIOS would do any difference there? Since Ive got those cards from literally same source. They look really similar. Im thinking about taking BIOS from 2nd (RGB) and flash it to 1st (Eagle).
