What's Your AMD Vega FE Settings? HashRate?

Hello,
Could you explain your way of ‘old school way’?

I got Vega FE * 3 ea several days ago, tried lots of way at Windows 10, I got 44 M/Hash by 1 ea via Wattman & ADMTweaker, but fail if connect over Vega FE * 2 ea.
so I want to try via Hive OS, so would you explain your way? if it’s difficult, please show me main key word. I will try after searching in web by your key word.

Thank you.

Hello,
Can I know which HiveOS version you use?
I tried with these 4 version, but failed.

  • hiveos-0.6-200-beta@210303,
  • hiveos-0.6-190-stable@210108
  • hiveos-vega-0.6-61@190813,
  • hiveos-vega-0.6-101@191210

Could you show me detail? Thanks!

Newbie question - how do you do this in Windows? I thought amdmemtweak was HiveOS/linux utility?

Hello,

i flasht my FE card with a WX 9100 Bios and gained anothre 2 MH.

amdmemtweak --i 4 --REF 17500 --RFC 300

Unfortunately, the amdmemtwaek command cannot be entered in the overclock tab.

So I’m using hiveos-0.6-190-stable@210108 successfully with 2 vega fe’s alongside a 580,570, and 5500. I was down for a whole day though after troubleshooting what happened when upgrading to the newest version. I cannot get it to work in the newer versions, luckily I had this old copy saved to my harddrive as I don’t even see a download link for it anymore.

these steps worked for me great, went from 37 to 44.39 1100 900/850/0 1100 --ref 17500 --rcf 300 @~145W

Hey guys I have been reading this forum like its the bible today bc I found a deal of a life time in this current market. well at least a pretty great one… Im buying two Vega FE’s tomorrow for 500 dollars along with his PC wednesday for another 500…He needs to do some cleaning off of it dealing with personal files but I already have a rig running on hive 3 vega 56’s and I am looking to add these two FE’s on the rig… Can you guys give me some tips on issues I may run into as it seems these cards have mostly been abandoned by the mining community. I like a great challenge and 90mh for 500 bucks is a steal these days…Any help would be greatly appreciated! TIA

ALSO when I say tips I mean issues I may run into setting it up as well as most efficient OC settings to maximum efficiency. I am a real stickler when it comes to the heat and watts of my cards. I dont mine sacrificing 1-2 hash for 5*c lower and 20w lower as well combined so gimme whatcha got and hopefully I can repay the favor somehow in the future!

Here’s an update… I have mine FEs mining at 45 each but I can’t get them to mine together. Weird. They will mine separately. It’s not a PSU issue either or ram so im stumped.

ok so I had to find a version of the amdmemtweak program that works with the newest available 2021 drivers for windows 10. and I am now mining on Nicehash using SRBMiner at 40.61 Mh/s Thank you. Without the memtweak I was capped at 32 Mh/s

I used the newest GUI version. Go to download page and on right hand side select other versions.

Ok on windows 10 using nicehash SRBminer I finally found some balance. cant undervolt this card as I am using the newest available gaming driver… Version: 21.3.2. used regedit KMD_IsGamingDriver = 1 and got it into gaming driver. had to use older version of AmdMemTweak. but set tREF=27356 and tRFC=310 cant go lower or card crashes after an hour… cant get memory over 1060 at 1000 mV but core is at 1000 and 1000. Currently mining at 43.9 - 44.1 stable. which currently to date is about $3 - $3.20 a day. So not terrible. Also mining Raptoreum with my cpu 3900x and averaging over 24hrs about 3700 h/s so about 120 coins per hour. Which is nice. not that raptoreum is worth much yet… but good to hang onto for now. Will run this setup till end of month then see what I can tweak again. Also running on Tuf Gaming x570 pro wifi Motherboard with 32gb ddr4 3200 ram.

Hello all i found best settings for the moment and running stable 47,25 mh stock without flashing anything… and for 115watt

I’m using Phoenix Miner without any special config.

There is no reason to not go more far away, if you guys can share your work as i did, would be nice from you.

The memtweak are set like it : REF 65535 RFC 300

sorry mate,
with that config vega even didnt start mining, just idling.
used the same miner.
what do you have exacly in amdtweak area?

Look wired, check your logs to know what happens, my configs is still running well on my two graphics cards.

i also selected “agressive underclocking” in config of hiveos web Interface that i didn’t mentioned.

the amdtweak have to be set like it :
amdmemtweak --REF 65535 --RFC 300

thisi is best what i managed to get.
tried few times your settings but phoenix didnt start mining at all.
making Vegas work with my lack of spare time is total rocket sciense for me

with : amdmemtweak –CL 18 –RC 44 –RP 14 –WR 14 –CWL 8 –FAW 12 –RAS 27 –REF 65535 –RFC 289 –RTP 5 –RRDL 6 –RRDS 3 –WTRL 9 –WTRS 4 –RCDRD 16 –RCDWR 13

agresive undervolting off

Hello, used red 17500 and rfc 300 with 1000/830/1100 and im geting 46,5mh/s on phoenixminer only

did anyone implemented upgrades to OC due to R mode?

I would like to know if anyone has implemented STABLE TeamRedMiner RMode for AMD Vega FE with 16GB HBM2 .

i have 2 x AMD Vega FE 16GB HBM2 cards with Samsung Memory. One card (GPU3) is stable so far but one (GPU0) keeps crashing every 45 mins to 1 hr . Here is what i tried so far in RMODE:

System type: HiveOS Linux 0.6-217@220522
Kernel: 5.10.0-hiveos #110
AMD OpenCL Driver: 21.40.1 (5.13.0201)
Miner : TeamRedMiner 0.10.0

RMode Flightsheet Settings under extra settings: --kernel_vm_mode=RR

unstable GPU = GPU 0

GPU 0 Clock settings: Core = 1000 , VDD = 820 , MEM = 1028

AMDTweak Straps:

amdmemtweak --CL 19 --RC 44 --RP 14 --WR 14 --CWL 8 --FAW 18 --RAS 28 --REF 65535 --RFC 300 --RTP 5 --RRDL 5 --RRDS 3 --WTRL 9 --WTRS 4 --RCDRD 12 --RCDWR 10

Average ETH Hashrate = 42.5 MH/s

Tried the following Core, VDD, Mem settings with same straps but those were worse and very unstable:

Test 1: 925, 820, 1025 – crashed
Test 2: 925, 800, 1025 – crashed
Test 3: 900, 780, 1025 – crashed
Test 4: 900, 820, 1025 – crashed
Test 5: 800, 800, 1025 – crashed
Test 6: 800, 820, 1025 – crashed
Test 7: 1000, 820, 1025 – crashed

Any Help or suggestion is well appreciated

my is stable at:

amdmemtweak --CL 16 --RC 44 --RP 14 --WR 14 --CWL 8 --FAW 12 --RAS 27 --REF 65535 --RFC 300 --RTP 5 --RRDL 6 --RRDS 3 --WTRL 9 --WTRS 4 --RCDRD 13 --RCDWR 12

6h so far without crash, so it’s kinda success
