Mining ETC, online but with problems, low hash rate message

Hi, I have, Custom Octominer X12ULTRA 12 GPU Crypto Mining Rig 2250W 4GB G3900 12x RX 470.

I followed the video, how to setup and make the right settings with wallet and a Flight Sheet.

Already no profits after more than 1 hour of mining, it says low hash rate.

Maybe I did not configure pool correctly and software settings. Anyway, can anyone do a remote

screen share to see my HiveOS account, while miner is on, I am willing to pay like $30 for half hour,

since I am new to this, never done before, I attached 2 pics. Thanks, i advance.

for polaris cards or older amd cards i would recommend flashing an older version of hive that includes an older amd driver, i recommend the one with kernel 5.15, you can flash from the rig by running hive-replace -l=8 -y

You mean reinstall HiveOS on my SSD? Can you send me link, or video for older version. Thanks.

All you do is run that command, then wait

this one: hive-replace -l=8 -y

in Linux environment, where miner is?

I wanted to confirm -one=eight -y or -i=8 -y??? or - l letter L there?

you can just copy and paste it lowercase L. either in the run command box, or via web shell/hive shell/vnc

I did it, and at the end it said copied 6.4Gb, then I turned it off and restarted, and now it would not boot at all, maybe I turned it off too early, so do I have to start everything from the beginning?

Yeah you likely interrupted it mid flash, youll need to reflash from your PC if thats the case. When running hive replace it will reboot on its own, you dont need to do anything else besides start it and wait.

Hi, I did not touch anything, it rebooted, and I got an error.

I could try one more time, not sure what to do next?

download the latest image and flash via your pc (same as you first installed hiveos, just use the latest image)

It shows with problems letter “A”, what does this mean?

I think it worked, not sure if I am mining? What should be Core Clock, I have it on 1150? What should be Memory Clock, I have it on 2600? Specifically for my cards? I have other questions, after you write me back, thanks so much.

the A just means amd gpu is installed

i apologize i said to install the latest image, i mixed this thread up with another. you want to be on this one still: https://download.hiveos.farm/history/[email protected]

you an flash from the rig still by running this: hive-replace -l=8 -y and then don’t touch anything until it reboots on its own, id recommend to run this from the shell so you can watch the progress

you really want to fine tune OC for your specific cards as it will vary, but 2600 is probably too high, start with 0 and work your way up until its unstable

I followed the exactly as you told me, anyway, fans are not spinning, says high temp, with problems, not sure what to do, at first it showed a hash rate like 287, then it stopped mining, It

says GPU more than 90 degree I attached pics. Maybe something with settings?

Do the gpus have adequate airflow? If so you need to tune the overclocks for the gpus to use less power/create less heat, set a low core clock, and the lowest core voltage as is stable for the core clock you choose.

hi, I went into settings, I found my card name, I attached pictures, which one should I choose?

Also, further settings, like Core Voltage and Memory Controller Voltage, Mem State, Memory Voltage, Power Limit.

Let me know, thanks in advance.

those are just going to be starting points, to get the best results you want to test and tune your own cards instead of just running someone else settings

Hi, I searched google and you-Tube and also Hive OS posts, and at the beginning showing some kind of hash rate then system crashes, I attached pics, of a crash and my settings. I even tried another flight sheet, still does the same. Showing LA - High Load Average message, then crashes. Not sure what to do next, should upgrade to faster processor and more Ram (I unscrewed the miner box, but there was no easy access to RAM and processor). I have dual -core intel, and 4GB of RAM. Let me know, thanks.

Try lowering the OC (lower clocks/higher voltages), that is a problem relying on someone elses clocks that may be stable on their cards, but wont be on yours.

Core Clock, or Memory Clock? Core Voltage or Memory Controller Voltage?

I would remove all, start with core clock to find the lowest value that reaches the hashrate youre happy with, then find the lowest core voltage that maintains stability, then find the highest memory clock that is stable
