I have 2 rigs…
one an open frame with 6x various GPUs
one octominer with 12x identical GPUs
both SSDs were flashed from the same original image
both are ‘selfupgraded’ to 0.6-227@240926
both have Nvidia driver set 550.120
both have the same configs (except id’s obviously)
both with VNC activated (for intranet only)
As for VNC…
The open frame unit works no matter what HiveOS/Kernel are running.
The Octominer only runs with base kernel 5.15.0#110
Everything mines correctly.
SSH/WebShell work.
But VNC isn’t listening… ‘no active connection’ etc
If I ping the unit, the IP responds as expected but if I ping the port 5900 it fails.
So, somewhere in the kernel build to 6.1 with the octominer it blocks port 5900 from listening.
Anybody else get this? Or have an idea to ‘fix’ it?
