Vega 64 Ultimate Guide 56-55 Mhash 130W

ramp it up to 195 at least.

Straps:

amdmemtweak --CL 20 --RC 37 --RP 11 --WR 14 --CWL 8 --FAW 12 --RAS 20 --REF 65535 --RFC 248 --RRDL 6 --RRDS 3 --WTRL 9 --WTRS 4 --RCDRD 12 --RCDWR 12

Core: 1400, if it gets too hot go to 1350
Vdd: 900, if it dies or crashes go up 10 increment, maxed at 920.
Memory: 960 is like the 205 megahash, 930 is 195m/h and 900 is the 184-186 megahash.

It will all depend on you, if the cards gets too heat beyond 65, i advise to lower it.
I maintain my temps nothing beyond 63-65C.

Cheers,
Glad it worked for you. Hope you did not forget to backup your main vega 64 rom.

It’s doable. But at 200 plus megahash your gpu is working so hard. tone it down to 195 at least.

Hi i have the same card i have two gigabyte vega 64 gaming oc
so it’s bad idea to try to flash to vega 56 or did you get it to flash to vega 56 ?

and did you use hiveos to flash ?

and is it ok to flash a card if i use risers ?

proceed at your own risk.
used hiveos with the gpu slotted on risers.

in case your gpu gets bricked this guide has an unbrick tutorial as well.

Pros:
Lesser wattage = Lesser heat.
More efficient in electricity per hash cost.

Other than that, vega 64 is also fine.

ok

let me know if you encounter troubles. happy farming

Hi i did manage to flash my two Gigabyte vega 64 gaming oc to Gigabyte vega 56 gaming oc with HiveOS and i did use PCIE riser 1x To 16x and it worked

i did flash with this bios version VGA Bios Collection: Gigabyte RX Vega 56 8 GB | TechPowerUp

and i use this

amdmemtweak --CL 21 --RC 37 --RP 11 --WR 14 --CWL 8 --FAW 12 --RAS 20 --REF 65535 --RFC 248 --RTP 5 --RRDL 6 --RRDS 3 --WTRL 9 --WTRS 4 --RCDRD 17 --RCDWR 12

For ETH mining OC
Core 900 Mhz and 755 mv
Memmory Clock 930 Mhz

For Autolykos mining OC
Core 1250 Mhz and 840 mv
Memmory 860 Mhz

Amd Driver Version 19.30

and some results

ETH mining from 41.5 mh/s and 155watt to 46 mh/s and 140watt

Autolykos mining from 160.9 mh/s and 160 watt to 176.9 mh/s and 179watt

hmm maybe some warning if i understand right vega 64 and 56 bios is VBIOS Size: 256 KB but on Techpowerup there is a bios that is VBIOS Size: 60 KB only do not know if that is good or bad bios

change your RCDRD to 12 and get better hashrate.

Hi i have test RCDRD 12
but i did get lower hachrate it look’s like RCDRD 16 or 17 works best on my card

i did install newer Amd drivers version 20.40

here is my setting im mining Autolykos with Vegas and ETH with my gtx 1080ti

and more info

Try these straps:

amdmemtweak --CL 20 --RC 37 --RP 11 --WR 14 --CWL 8 --FAW 12 --RAS 20 --REF 65535 --RFC 248 --RRDL 6 --RRDS 3 --WTRL 9 --WTRS 4 --RCDRD 12 --RCDWR 12

Your wattage consumption is way too high for a low vdd voltage.

Thanks

i did get little better hashrate on Eth and Autolykos

Eth mining about 47 mh/sec and 145watt Core 935mhz 755mV Memmory 847mhz
Autolykos mining about 180.5 and 190 watt Core 1350mhz 865mV Memmory 847mhz

i did use this

amdmemtweak --CL 20 --RC 37 --RP 11 --WR 14 --CWL 8 --FAW 12 --RAS 20 --REF 65535 --RFC 239 --RRDL 6 --RRDS 3 --WTRL 9 --WTRS 4 --RCDRD 12 --RCDWR 12

I have a problem. I own two Gigabyte Vega 64 Gaming OC and flashed them with the wrong Vega 56 BIOS I think. Now, they are both unrecognized in HiveOS - did I screw the cards now or can I revive them anyhow? :frowning:

Edit: Problem was solved.

there’s a guide above in the first post on how to recover when bricked.
just have to do a little bit of work and a bios switch move around.

The Gigabyte Vega 64 Gaming OC is just a really worse card. Flashed it to the Gigabyte Vega 56 Gaming OC bios and it doesn’t run stable with these settings, keeps messaging DEAD GPU and restarting:

Clock: 1000
VDD: 830
Memory: 1000
amdmemtweak --CL 20 --RC 37 --RP 11 --WR 14 --CWL 8 --FAW 12 --RAS 20 --REF 65535 --RFC 248 --RRDL 6 --RRDS 3 --WTRL 9 --WTRS 4 --RCDRD 12 --RCDWR 12

Hi here is my settings post number 1042 here Vega 56 and Vega 64 guide - #1075 by Matti

I left my card now @ 1000/800/960, 45,5 Mh/s @ 160 W.

This card fu*** me really up. Mediocre hashrate and ultra high consumption…I will soon kick the two Gigabytes out of the rig and replace them with efficient cards…I am really pis***

i get about 46.7 Mh/s @ 145 watt

Clock: 915
VDD: 765
Memory: 845

amdmemtweak --CL 18 --RC 35 --RP 11 --WR 14 --CWL 8 --FAW 12 --RAS 26 --REF 65535 --RFC 239 --RRDL 6 --RRDS 3 --WTRL 9 --WTRS 4 --RCDRD 11 --RCDWR 12

Ok tried your settings now: Working since 14 minutes stable right now
46,4 Mh/s @ 145-149 W

holy, finally after struggling for about two whole days…

ok
you can test if you can go higher on the clock maybe 920

i can not go higher then 915 maybe 916 or 917

I had a crash now and went back to 910, lets see. I don’t know, if its the core clock or the memory, but I don’t think the memory clock with 840 is the problem here.
