TP-Link USB WiFi Adapter TL-WN725N

Can someone from the HiveOS team fix the driver issue with the TP-Link USB WiFi Adapter TL-WN725N? The last 2 stable releases don’t work, able to see the SSID and input password and that’s it. I know this dongle works perfectly on hiveos-0.6-222-stable@230512

I have the same problem. Was running a very old release with TP-Link TL-WN725N ver. 3.6 for a really long time without any issues. Upgraded my HiveOS and the USB wifi dongle is no longer working. Trued several 3rd party drivers from Github but nithing seems to work for now. Can someone provide some insight into what driver works for this dongle on the latest HiveOS release? Thanks

im having the same problem cant belive this is still not fixed what can we do

Have you tried the latest beta image?

no but i will now that you mention it

just tried it and no beta does not work either
but why did it work before OS update ?
i have 3 of these usb wifi adapter and it was working before withtout any issues

can you send a screenshot of your shell when running the wifi command? showing the wifi chipset/adapter model.

also, are you able to see the SSIDs? does it try connecting?

Hello,

I have the same issue. I can run the WiFi command and it looks like it works but I’m not connected. This was working prior to upgrade from Linux Kernel 5.15.0-hiveos #110 to latest stable.

My adapter is TP-Link USB WiFi Adapter for PC(TL-WN725N), N150 Wireless Network Adapter for Desktop - Nano Size WiFi Dongle for Windows 11/10/7/8/8.1/XP/ Mac OS 10.9-10.15 Linux Kernel 2.6.18-4.4.3, 2.4GHz Only purchased from Amazon.

for what its worth, im using the exact same wifi adapter on the latest beta, and its working fine

Installing the beta version worked for me. Thank You.
