I have some Asus 5700, some 2 fan and 3 fan. I noticed high temps after rebooting the rig…when I checked hardware I saw 1 fan not running. I poked it by hand, now it runs as it should, temps are fine again.
Same thing happened some weeks later with one of the 3 fan cards.
I dont need to restart the rig very often, and the fans seem to work fine when they are running. I cant see anything wrong. But why wont they start reliably?
Your fans are probs worn, most likely the bearing. Could try some lube via external application or rebuild fans if possible. That’s how it is for gaming on laptops (my experience).
how can I replace them? That´s not standard fans 
is there a dealer where you can buy card-specific spare parts?
dont want to send them in…I know what happens…I get a refund and then card is gone
