SOLVED: T-Rex - "Syntax error: value, object or array expected"

I’m trying to use T-Rex miner for the first time. When I select the Flight Sheet with T-Rex, I see the miner being installed the latest version 0.21.6, and logs

jq: invalid JSON text passed to --argison

then,

ERROR: Can't start miner, can't parse json:
  *Line 2, Column 1
Syntax error: value, object or array expected.

I’ve tried 3 different versions (0.21.6, 0.21.5, 0.21.4), and all errors. I’ve installed these versions using “Tuning” page, then selecting the flight sheet. Please help.

Below is what I capture:

After messing with config for hours, finally got it working. T-Rex miner doesn’t work with the default settings. I had to manually configure it in the flight sheet:

  1. Enter the “Setup Miner Config” for T-Rex.
  2. Select your “Hash algorithm”.
  3. Enter your_wallet_address.rig_name inside “Wallet and worker template”.
  4. Leave blank in “Worker name”.
  5. Enter pool url, i.e. “stratum+tcp://eu-eth.hiveon.net:4444”.
  6. Enter “x” for “Pass”.
  7. Delete everything inside “Extra config arguments”.
