1068 cause more un stable

i sue

A20.40 (5.9.0325)

you need update your installation with new image (OpenCL 20.40 amdgpu 5.11.0701)

in ssh => hive-replace -s will do the job

this cause me 2 times waste my times because after that nothing works correctly
new installation better idea
tomorrow i will update

I tried updating to 0.6-205 as well and got a lower hashrate, higher temps, and higher watt output using Redminer. I ended up reverting back.

If you update through the Hive OS portal for whatever reason it doesn’t update the AMD driver to 5.11.0701. You need to start a shell then update via hive-replace and select the install version that has that AMD driver. Here are my settings using PM

Thank you, helped me a lot.

PS: you don’t have to cover your internal ip, it’s unaccessible from the outside.

Hi
i download new image and run
still does not have same hashrate on GPU with 1300/1068

and one card missing i think because of this erro

not quite so … this is a consequence. Overclocking cannot be applied because the driver for some reason (riser for example) could not correctly initialize this card

thanks
and what do you think about first part
why i have not same shashate while i have same card same bios number and same setting

For some reason phoenix miner is working again and I have a good hashrate

From the changelog (yes, you need to upgrade and include the updated driver):

  • AMD driver: v5.11.0701 (supporting the latest “Big Navi” GPUs including RX 6700XT/ 6800/ 6800XT/ 6900XT)

  • reworked overclocking procedure for AMD Vega20/Navi/BigNavi GPUs (extends acceptable limits for clocks and voltages, reworked BigNavi OC - need AMD kernel module v5.9.0501 or later, added software unlock to support OC/UV for Radeon Pro W5x00 GPUs, fixed bugs)

EDIT: the regression has been introduced in version after 0.6-206@210723. 0.6-205@210723 is not affected.

I have some strange results with an AMD rx 6800 reference card:

I can get 56-58 MH, 97W card / 160w wall, 625mV VDD, 755mV VDDCI, 1255mV MVDD.

But, if I reboot, power consumption jumps to 107w card / 170w wall. Measured with a smart plug.

I’m seeing such low power consumption only after a “hive-replace” on first boot. On subsequent boots, my card is stuck at 106-107w, same hashrate. Confirmed at the wall: +10w (170w vs 160w).

Also confirmed by temperature:

  • At 97w, Core 56°C, Hotspot 61°C and Mem 68°C,
  • At 107w, Core 60°C, Hostspot 65°C and Mem 72°C.

@vanadium Hello I have two cards with little bit different settings but they are working at 60-61mh/s. I think you need to overclock your RAM maybe to 1060. And how do you measure power consumption with motherboard and everything or power supply is only for GPU? Because I measure less than 300W with two GPU’s motherboard additional fans and everything.

i have same card the hight i get was 56 mh,it was 61 before but it restarst every 5 min

Maybe wrong overclock settings or wrong miner sometimes Phoenix miner is really unstable you can try with Teamredminer clear all overclock/undervolt settings set core to 1300-1400 memory to 1050 and start mining if you get stable results you can try to overclock little bit memory to 1060-1070. When everything is ok with overclock you can start with undervolt first core and step by step all settings.

hive-replace -y --stable

if you’re still having a higher wattage than 120w for your cards, you should do the command above. it should update you to the latest version of the kernel, which includes the AMD driver update.

After trying many OC setting, bellow is the most stable ( XFX RX6800)

I recommend also to check the hashrate and valid share % in Ethermine website, the payout depend on this value,
Good luck :v:
