RX 470 GPU BIOS not flashing (error: not found or not supported)

So, I bought interesting not working mining card with only HDMI port, for cheap, with advice to flash it’s BIOS via mining OS. (Actually bought 3 cards with probably same problems)
it’s identified by Windows, but drivers not installing correctly.
In Linux (HiveOS) it’s not working too.
In HiveOS interface it’s recognized as RX470, but no other info (I checked, it has RX 470’s 215-0876406 chip and memory Samsung K4G80325FB-HC25).
Its BIOS showing Micron memory, so BIOS is wrong here.

I tried to flash 2 more appropriate VBIOS’es from TechPowerUp, its failing with:

ERROR: GPU 04:00.0 not found or not supported

Google not searching for this error at all, so I’m stuck here.

Still not too confident in my BIOS-chip-unsoldering-flashing skills.

does the gpu work? or are you thinking a bios flash will potentially fix whatever issue it was having?

Oh, yes, forgot: it’s identified by Windows, but drivers not installing correctly.

can you post a screenshot of how it is showing in the workers overview tab?

Actually now I booted and GPU is not showing up anymore. Just video out GPU.
And in Windows its not shown in device manager. But GPU fans are spinning.
Sad.

Sounds like you may have a dud on your hands, realistically they arent really worth using anymore (nothing 7+ years old is) even with very cheap power.

I know that.
That’s why the idea was to flash gamer’s BIOS instead of miner’s to get some profit from them.
But yeah, they’re more problematic than expected and probably seller with 99% of positive rating is not always enough.
