RTX 5060 Ti GPUs not detected / visible in HiveOS rig

Hello everyone,

We are facing a persistent issue where HiveOS cannot properly detect or run our RTX 5060 Ti GPUs in our rig.

Here are our system specifications:

  • Motherboard: Esonic B250 BTC Gladiator
  • CPU: Intel Pentium G4400
  • RAM: 8 GB DDR4
  • Risers: Version 0008s
  • Total GPUs: 12x RTX 5060 Ti

We have tried almost every standard troubleshooting method (updating HiveOS to the latest stable/beta kernel, installing the newest Nvidia drivers, and checking all power connections).

To isolate the issue, I tried testing the cards one by one (individually):

  • Out of my 12 RTX 5060 Ti cards, HiveOS only detected 2 of them, but NEVER at the same time. They were only recognized when plugged in alone.
  • The rig has never recognized more than 1 card simultaneously.
  • At times, it even fails to detect that single card.

One major limitation I noticed is that I cannot change the PCIe Gen settings in this motherboard’s BIOS (I assume the default is Gen2).

The only options we have left untried are:

  1. Flashing a BIOS update to the Esonic motherboard (if a newer version exists).
  2. Buying and trying a newer version of risers.

Has anyone encountered a similar issue with this specific Esonic B250 board and RTX 50 series cards? Do you think a BIOS update or upgrading from 0008s risers would fix this recognition problem?

Thanks in advance for any advice or help!

i have heard of people having issues (shows as malfunction) with 50 series gpus on some older chipset boards, as you mentioned bios update would be the best chance.
