While mining ETH on the rest of the rig of 3070s, the 3060’s rate limiter seems to kick in while mining ERG autolykos (78 instead of 112 MH/s) and CFX octopus (35 instead of 44 MH/s). If the entire rig mines ERG or CFX, the 3060 is not rate limited. It seems somehow the 3060 lock is switching on from perhaps detecting the ETH mining for the rest of the rig despite the 3060 working for a different miner and algo.
Has anyone else had this problem and found a fix? I searched around but found no other posts about this. Here’s more info:
I have a rig with 7x 3070s and 1x 3060 (v1, non-LHR, which mined ETH at 45MH/s on a Windows PC using the 470.05 unlock drivers).
Until yesterday, the lolminer 3060 unlock was working for the 3060 on the rig running HiveOS with a riser and the 460.39 drivers for the partial ETH unlock of 37 MH/s, while the rest of the rig also mined ETH using T-rex (because for some reason the actual (not reported) hash rates are low using lolminer (56 vs 63 MH/s).
Yesterday, after a HiveOS update and reboot, the 3060 has very low hash rates on lolminer (5 MH/s). I thought it might have been the recent lolminer v1.31 update, but the problem persisted when reverting to v1.30. The lolminer script of detecting the lock and calibrating still appears but the hash rate only increases to about 15 MH/s for 5 seconds before dropping down to 5 MH/s.
I have tried reboots a few times, as well as mining other algos briefly before returning to ETH, all with no luck. The 3060 mines ETH at the expected 25 MH/s on non-lolminer software such as T-Rex
I decided wait for news and a fix to develop over the next few days, and just mine another algo with the 3060 in the meantime while the rest of the rig continues to mine ETH using T-Rex. This is where this new hash rate problem arose regarding mining ETH on the rest of the rig and CFX or ERG on the 3060, which led to this post.
Thanks in advance for your help!
