You have some corrupt files or a corrupted drive. If you flashed with balena etcher please try using Rufus instead.
In case you can’t use another program (most don’t run on a mac), you can try to put a different copy of the status file
You can find one at /var/backups/dpkg.status.0 or /var/lib/dpkg/status-old
you need to overwrite /var/lib/dpkg/status
After that you can reinstall hive using hive-replace -s -y
