OC settings for AMD RX580

So… I ended up with some crazy number of invalid shares. So I changed it to 1150/2/870/2100 and rebooted. So far its been stable but I was getting a lot of invalid shares with these same settings before. I’m thinking the reboot is what fixed it. I’m guessing the settings you gave me probably would of worked as well if I rebooted. I’m getting 31mh currently 88watts. It’s been 3 hours and the longest its been stable so far. Do you think if I try your settings that will help bring the watts down?

What’s your settings and how many 580s in the rig?

I have a rig with 12 580s and no issues but on this one it has 5 rx1660s and only 1 rx580 and the rx580 was giving me all kinds of problems. Currently the solo 580 is set to 1150/2/850/2100. Its been stable for almost 5 hours. So I’m thinking its good! Just built this rig so its only been up a few days… I’m also thinking reboot fixed my issue since I’ve tried these settings before and it was also having invalid shares.

If your trying to bring watts down go with 840 vdd I use 850 normally but if you use 840 you will see it lower a good bit

Oh ok thank you! So I changed it to 840 but it only went from 88 watts to 87. I also changed dpm from 2 to 1. Should of I left it at 2?

remove the DPM and dont use it. if you set core clock and voltage, DPM settings is not needed. if you lower too much the voltage the GPU will crash or start invalid shares. so try with small steps. i am using 1168 core clock and 860 core voltage , 800 memory controller voltage and 2100 mem clock. but with these settings i get 100 watts my card is bad in power consumption.

Ok Thank you so much for your help!!!

@rkulov Is it an ASUS card ?
Only my ASUS Dual sux like hell

no its Asrock RX 570 8G. i guess some cards were kicked 2-3 times while in production and suck …

Both stable settings. used on both one click bios from Polaris timings. Both are Hynix Memory
hope that post will help many of you. also if your card keeps crashing and marked as Dead try to increase VDD slightly +5 to +10 every time, to see where it gets stable. and when you find ideal OC settings let it till crash. if it crash +5 on VDD then you can leave them here to run forever xD

Hello there,
Can you share your bios for sapphire hynix?
[email protected]

DPM states are no use and i am going to explain why:

The RX 570-580 card has 7 DPM states - meaning it specifies with each DPM state what core clock and voltage for the core to use. Examples:

DPM 1 700 clock - 700mv
DPM 2 1000 clock - 750mv
DPM 3 1100 clock - 800mv
these are examples.
but you dont need DPM states because you explicitly tell the card : use core clock 1140 mhz and run it with 850mv.
if you tell it later use DPM 3 , which one will it use ? your settings 1140 , 850 or the DPM state 3 which states use 1100 clock and 800 mv?
it neglects the DPM and uses the more specific settings.
so DPM states are not needed , also memory states are the same, you have 2, actually 3,
0 300mhz 300 mv
1 1000mhz 1000mv
2 2000mhz 1000mv.

Memory voltage cant be controlled on the RX 5XX cards so dont specify it.
Just put memory controller voltage 800.

u do need to set mdpm if mem controller voltage is not set, right ? I see big difference in consumption if mem state is not set right?..i have few cards that dont like 800 mem voltage and tho its not set, only mdpm 1

if they dont like it increase it a bit. otherwise mdpm is 1000. it doesnt matter if memory state is 1 or 2 . if you go to your bios and open it with polaris bios editor you can see that all the states are with 1000mv setting

I have it, if you still need it

Hi
I modulated the BIOS from the polaris
Please advise me with what settings to reduce the voltage consumption with the same hshryt
My graphics are in a room with a fan in front of it
Ref now : 30

you can try to reduce a bit the core voltage but if they crash it means it needs to be high. did you insert memory controller voltage 800 ? also did you switch the aggressive undervolting ON?
