I’m completely new to this. I turned it on today and it shows my GPU yellow. When I try to update drivers it always fails
do you currently have an internet connection? you can run net-test
to check.
what gpu do you have and what image is installed? it is unlikely the issue is your driver/would be solved by reinstalling the driver
that’s the integrated graphics on the motherboard. do you have a GPU installed?
are you able to get an image from the monitor connected to the gpu?
I don’t have one connected. I’m on the mainboard
try it, to verify the gpu is working.
ok what can I do if I don’t have a picture. the card works, I was able to test that
can you boot hive on the machine that the card works in? if it works there, then i would look at the hardware in the system it is currently in, try another slot, other power cables etc.
okay I’ll try it can a mainboard be too old for a gpu
There could always be issues with stuff that old, but as long as it has pci express (the same physical connector) it should be backwards compatible all the way up to latest gen cards. So technically it shouldnt have any issues, but anything is possible with unsupported/outdated stuff
