Noob Need HELP

So I came here from Nicehash cause their windows system kept overheating my pc and their OS just…didn’t work.

Now i’m trying to figure out how to get mining on HiveOS with my rx470 and No pool, no miner, no algo… nothing works. I just keep getting read error end of file or red texts or disconnects etc. I’ve tried different wallets, different pools other than Hive, I think I’ve gone through each miner (xmrig, phoenix, lolminer, etc) and I can’t get ANYTHING to get mining.

I’m honestly just thinking of tossing the towel on any mining at this point. I want to at least try something out before getting too far into it with either a bigger rig or w/e, but this is NOT the best experience for a start.

The newer amd drivers dont play too nicely with the really old cards, for polaris gpus id reccomend flashing the image with kernel 5.15 #110, you can choose this from the list after running hive-replace -l or currently it is number 8 so you can run hive-replace -l=8 -y then wait for it to reboot on its own.

Thanks for that update. I was able to flash to that version, but still everything is unable to read pool or disconnecting or saying there’s 0mh/s etc. Like any flight sheet i create goes nowhere. Are all the pools and miners just not working? Like this is not a fun experience lol might just go back to nicehash and try to figure out why i’m overheating if hiveos is such a gatekept thing where I can’t find easy pool list or miner list etc for flight sheet setups.

No one is gatekeeping how to mine with unprofitable 8+year old gpus here. Please post screenshots of your workers overview screen, flight sheet configurations, and miner log and im sure we can figure out whats wrong pretty quickly
