New User Looking for Mentor or Advice

I have a WinMax 2 by GPD with a Ryzen Mobile GPU in it. I would like to try mining. The WinMax 2 also has a occulink connection to connect to an additional GPU or GPUs. I would like to try mining with just the GPU in the Ryzen only during certain hours.

I also would like to install HiveOS onto virt-manager. With passthrough OpenGL now an option in KVM, I am hoping I can use the GPU this way.

I don’t really understand how anything works. I am not doing this to make money but because I like the idea of decentralized transactions. I think it protects people’s privacy.

Please let me know if you have any suggestions on how to proceed.

im sure it is possible, but that isnt something we officially support.

id suggest you first get familiar with the config and mining aspect side of things by running hiveos natively, then possibly you could clone the drive to a virtual hdd and run that with some virtualization software.
