New Miner - Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 not loading

I am building my first miner and after mistakenly buying an “F” intel processor, I had to wait for my first GPU to start. I am running HiveOS on the server.

I am currently using an ASUS Prime Z490P motherboard and purchased a GeForce GTX 1060 6GB card.

The card works for the display, but every miner I’ve tried has said that no nvidia cards are found or driver not loaded.

Here is the message I get from the server.

• Detected 1 NVIDIA cards

No cards available for OC!
Please check BIOS settings, risers, connectors and PSU.
Try to update Nvidia drivers.

I have updated and removed the nvidia drivers many times now. Is there a bios setting that needs to be enabled for CUDA or is there something else I’m missing?

Above 4G encoding - enabled
Secure boot - disabled
and check again .

The Above 4G appears to be enabled by default. The Secure boot says that it’s only for windows and doesn’t have a enable/disable option.

uninstall nvidia drivers by purging them also to remove all nvidia. then restart and install

use this “nvidia-driver-update --force 460.39”

Does the DKMS module always fail to install?

Well it shouldnt. Did you manage instalation? Try writing sudo infront of the command

Try reinstall the packages nvidia-prime and ubuntu-drivers-common and run
sudo prime-select nvidia

Error: no integrated GPU detected

the 1060 is on a pci riser. That shouldn’t be the issue, but maybe there’s some other option I’m supposed to choose for that?
