New GMiner v2.71 LHR unlock update - Is it better then NBMiner v39.7?

Hello guys. Today, a new update for GMiner arrived.

  • VER 2.71
  • Improved LHR performance, added two modes (–lhr_mode): 0 - energy save mode, 1 - maximal performance mode (default).
Miner display LHR unlock percentage in statistics table (LHR row), you can adjust it by --lhr_tune option.
Now --lhr_tune meaning GPU unlock percentage, for compatibility lhr tunes below 10 mapped to new default values.
If LHR auto-tune (–lhr_autotune) enabled miner tries increase LHR unlock percentage while mining.
  • Improved RavenCoin performance, fixed floating hashrate
  • Display maximum difficulty of shares for each GPU

This is my results:

With --lhr_mode 1 (performance mode), I get almost the same hashrates - 73% GMiner LHR unlock vs 74% NBMiner LHR unlock - and the same power draw of NBMiner. (drawing 1185-1200w from the wall - 8 3060TI LHR - 352MH/s)

But, what is interesting is that when I use with --lhr_mode 0 (energy saving mode), I get a reduction of almost 200-250w from the wall. Ranging from 850w to 980w. But, I lose 15~20MH/s (332-335MH/s) when energy saving is activated.

Energy saving mode: 950w / 335mh/s = 2.8w per hashrate
Perfomance mode (or NBMiner aswell): 1200w / 350mh/s = 3.4w per hashrate

I think I will stick with NBMiner for now, but the future is promissing guys.

Have anyone tried GMiner with the new update?

I gained 2 MH on a 3060 V1 LHR.
That is the only thing I see so far.

And --lhr_mode 1 is default you shouldn’t even have to add that command.

The result slightly better than nbminer on my 3070 ti. So compared on dev fee, gminer to most choice now.

Stick with NBMiner I think… Also, you can try removing PL or 145 PL. 130 is too low I think.

I used the same OC for NBMiner to GMiner…

try core clock +1400 en power limit on 0

What oc use you?

What memory brand your GPU have?

Samsung. I have 2 gigabyte rtx 3060 ti same for each

Try using core 1425 / mem 2600 with no PL. If it’s stable, you can try even more, like 1500 / 2700, or 1550 / 2800. Don’t use PL.

Ok tnx now I’ll try

Just testing the latest trex. Looks promising

The autotune on my is bringing the % down to 62% and lower and still not stable. 3080ti.
Any suggestions?

I cannot seem to get stability on NBMiner either

I tried it and can’t get more than 34-35 on my V1 3060 using gminer. On lolminer with the 460.39 drivers I’m getting 39.

Which nvidia driver are you using?

has anyone gotten dual mining to work on gminer? I get this error

unknown argument "--dserver"

it’s ok for 3060 v2 lhr ?
