Need Help with Ravencoin and 3070 ti, 3060 ti settings

I can’t get anything to be stable on my 3070 ti mining raven. This is after having the rig up only 2 hours

Anyone else out there with some Rvn experience with the 3070 ti and the LHR 3060 ti cards?

I’m going to try these next 3070 ti
core 1300
mem 2200

3060 ti
core 1250
mem 1900

Well, those settings didn’t work. After fiddling with them a bit more this is as good as I can get them, but still not great. Anyone have any ideas?

This is with a 99.87% success rate. So not bad. The failed shares are stale shares and normally seems to do with the pool/miner than the card itself.

Yeah, I’ve thought about using a different miner. Clearly you see I am on t-rex and nanopool. Maybe I just leave it alone. Was on Gminer late last week and had about the same results

I am using Trex and flypool.

I have 5 RTX 3070ti’s but they are mining ERGO rather than RVN. Return is great and less stressful on the hardware.

Yeah I think this is as good as it gets. 1 invalid per hour

Not bad i guess??

what is your settings for the samsung memory? I got a 3060 ti with samsung memory.

I have 4x3070ti and i need some OC settings for this, can someone help me?

I’m stoked you created this thread. I’ve been dealing with the same thing for a few days and super stressed about it all.

I think someone said it best; it’s the Hynix memory in these Zotac 3060tis that suck

Can you share your trex setup? I typically use NBMiner and having the same kind of issues you’ve been having with the error no temps etc

It’s not only with NBMiner, I have the same issue on T-Rex miner. The thing is I’m not sure it came from 3060ti Hynix memory or 3070Ti Micron memory. Is there anyway we can pinpoint which GPU is causing the error no temps, auto fan error etc?

start by dropping all 3070Ti’s memory and core to 0. And then work on the overclocks one card at a time. this is what I have been doing.
I have 3x 3070Ti’s and started with the GA104 error every time i added a 3070 Ti so I had to update drivers to 2 different drivers withe the miner stopped.
When I got that over I had the Temps/stats issue so that’s when i dropped my clocks to 0 core, 1500 memory with 250 pl and 85% fan.

And gradually I’m at: RVN-2miners-T-Rex

GPU 1: 39.04 MH/s 100 core, 1800 mem, 245 pl
GPU 2: 38.71 MH/s 0 core, 1650 mem, 240 pl
GPU 3: 39.55 MH/s 100 core, 2070 mem, 245 pl

All 3 are ASUS TUF 3070 Ti’s with Micron Memory but when i bump the memory to 2000 on the first two i get the Temp/Stat glitch.
Same thing happens when bumping the core anything more than 300 on the first two.
All 3 cards work the same at 0 and 100 core but anything other than that they don’t like it.
Ps. I have also use 250 pl and always below 60 degrees Celsius to make sure it’s not a over-heating issue or not enough power.
I would like some help though myself fine tuning these cards to 39+ MH/s on RVN
Also I would like to know if the intensity could play a role here with T-Rex Miner as it’s at 20 intensity for all 3.

Thanks in advance.

This is where I’m at now. (GPU3 is ASUS TUF, GPU1 is EVGA ftw3) I’m doing the same thing as you but on the opposite, i’m working my way down from 3070ti memory clock 2700. I found that PL 235 is a sweet spot to keep the temperature under control. Also my observation is when the GPU temp is more than 56-57, my ASUS TUF will went crazy and crash the whole rig with error “error no temp”. Also if PL is less than 235, the hashrate will be fluctuated a lot.

If memory 2300 is still not stable, I will reduce it further. to 2250.

Do you think core clock does improve the hash rate? I don’t see much improve so I leave it.

I think the card gets slightly hotter with core at 100 and there is a slight drop 0.02 MH difference. Very small difference. 0 core being better.
I’m steady now for a few days at 2000 memory on one of my Asus TUF 3070 Ti’s.
The other two are at 1650 memory due to having no space between them and I have heat issue I think. Wish I could see Core temp or any way to see if they are thermal-throttling.

I see your temps are much better than my temps. What frame are they on? Do you have a big space between them? What is your ambient temp? Are you steady at 2300?

Same issue here with my 3060ti, now running stable at 99.68%

Update for my 3070ti TuF, been running stable at mem 2200 for 3 days now. It was crashed when I set to 2300 so I dropped to 2200 and seems to be a sweet spot. However, I used the same setting for my EVGA 3070ti Ftw. EVGA which run 2-3c lower than the TuF. I might try to push that a bit further. Also got some thermal pads, but still deciding should the Tuf apart. I think it won’t worth the 1mh increasing.

Regarding my my temp. For 3070tis I have just around 10cm space between them and no other gpu at both end. I prototype my own open frame rig with wood because I used Asrock H510 which can mount 6 gpu directy on the board. But it’s too close to each other. So I have to use risers for 3070ti to mitigate the space and heat issue. Also added 6 120mm fans at the front as in the picture.

I live in Thailand, so it’s quite hot someday but I put my rigs deep inside my shophouse so ambient temp is never over 30c.

True about the memory temp, we can not see in HiveOS. But if we observe the MH/s and gpu temp closely we will noticing it.

Looking good!!! I’m in Greece and now it’s about 30 Celsius but I have one next to the other. If I turn off the AC in the house one card will hit 61+ Celsius and crash. I’m waiting for a 12GPU frame to put 6-7 3070 Ti. It’s obvious they need space .

Look very neat. Where did you get the frame from? I have the 12 gpu frame one but I think it’s inefficient because it’s so looong. I will waste a lot of space underneath the gpus. Which has only MB and PSU. Double stack it might be better in my opinion. Unless you have a plenty of space. I will save the 12 gpu rig for the next build which has at least 10 gpu in it to make it worth.

One thing that might help with your temp issue is the back of GPU. Seem like it’s in a corner and very close to a wall or window? I think if it has more space around the rig it might help dissipates the hot air. Mine have DIY the window type ventilation fans 20" at the back as an exhaust out the room to make sure the hot air does not circulate inside/around the rig.

You are lucky. I have 3 MSI 3060ti gaming X. None of them performing the same. With the same settings, one is 27.8, 25.5 and 24.69. But I haven’t look into it in dept yet. May be it need some more love. I just hope they all performing at least in the 27ish range.

At first I think it’s about the heat. I tried swapped the GPU position but no. It’s in the card.

Same memory brand? Even if its same model, memory might be different.

Hello again, well the frame is the Veddha T3 and I got it from eBay. I like the frame but it’s not for these hot 3000 series. I want to fill it with 166s/Ti’s. I’m waiting for this frame now below but I will only put 6 GPU’s with lots of space between them and if I have enough power from the PSU I will put a 7th on the motherbaord like I did with this Rig. I have a 140mm fan in the back for the heat. I would add one more in the back and one on the side to pull more hot air. But as I said I’m putting them on another rig.
As for understanding if the GPU is thermal throttling My hash rate fluctuates about 0.04 but I get drops here and there but on all 3 cards. Is this a server issue or are all cards just dropping 1MH for some reason?
Also I see many people using the fans of the GPU’s at 90%+ and even 100%. Is it okay for long term to use them so high? And your probably right about being close to the window. It’s about 20cm from the curtain and 30cm from the window. Can’t wait for winter as that spot is the coldest because that’s where the wind blows.
