first off i’m running my gpus on a ASUS B250 MB. now the issue i noticed after i added 3 new cards to PCIE 4,5,6.
before the order was:
0, 0c:00.0 GeForce GTX 1070 8119 MiB 86.04.50.00.65, Power Limit 75.00 W, 151.00 W, 170.00 W
1, 0d:00.0 GeForce GTX 1070 8119 MiB 86.04.50.40.e3, Power Limit 75.00 W, 151.00 W, 170.00 W
2, 0e:00.0 GeForce GTX 1070 8119 MiB 86.04.26.00.01, Power Limit 75.00 W, 151.00 W, 170.00 W
which Actually are in slot 1, 2, 3
Now it shows cards slots 3,4,5 first then 1,2,3
0, 07:00.0 GeForce GTX 1070 8119 MiB 86.04.50.40.e3, Power Limit 75.00 W, 151.00 W, 170.00 W
1, 09:00.0 GeForce GTX 1070 8119 MiB 86.04.50.40.e3, Power Limit 75.00 W, 151.00 W, 170.00 W
2, 0b:00.0 GeForce GTX 1070 8119 MiB 86.04.50.40.e3, Power Limit 75.00 W, 151.00 W, 170.00 W
3, 0c:00.0 GeForce GTX 1070 8119 MiB 86.04.50.00.65, Power Limit 75.00 W, 151.00 W, 170.00 W
4, 0d:00.0 GeForce GTX 1070 8119 MiB 86.04.50.40.e3, Power Limit 75.00 W, 151.00 W, 170.00 W
5, 0e:00.0 GeForce GTX 1070 8119 MiB 86.04.26.00.01, Power Limit 75.00 W, 151.00 W, 170.00 W
When it should show this way:
0, 0c:00.0 GeForce GTX 1070 8119 MiB 86.04.50.00.65, Power Limit 75.00 W, 151.00 W, 170.00 W
1, 0d:00.0 GeForce GTX 1070 8119 MiB 86.04.50.40.e3, Power Limit 75.00 W, 151.00 W, 170.00 W
2, 0e:00.0 GeForce GTX 1070 8119 MiB 86.04.26.00.01, Power Limit 75.00 W, 151.00 W, 170.00 W
3, 07:00.0 GeForce GTX 1070 8119 MiB 86.04.50.40.e3, Power Limit 75.00 W, 151.00 W, 170.00 W
4, 09:00.0 GeForce GTX 1070 8119 MiB 86.04.50.40.e3, Power Limit 75.00 W, 151.00 W, 170.00 W
5, 0b:00.0 GeForce GTX 1070 8119 MiB 86.04.50.40.e3, Power Limit 75.00 W, 151.00 W, 170.00 W
Now if I format the USB drive and add hiveos back onto the drive as if to make a brand new rig, and create a new rig in the web account and add it the the new software USB the order is corrected and all is good. Yet I shouldn’t have to do that after adding new cards to my eventual 12 card GPU rig. the order should be correct without having to format the drive EVERY TIME I add a new card. the slot order never changes on the board so it shouldn’t in the software.
