Miner doesn't like to share

@keaton_hiveon usually when this happens the rig crashes

Did enable logs, but bz doesn’t normally rotate logs. Will have to add some commands to get some history for next time

As far as I can tell, bz takes over all the cards (probably why the rig crashes). Usually happens when the rig boots. Somehow on the next reboot, it works. The only miner that has a memory lock at 810 is bz, all the others are set with hive’s oc

These are lolminer’s logs. The only difference is that the first was running before (might have rebooted hot), and the second was cold-booted. No changes in between

Lolminer can also lock the memory in config ‘–mclk 810’

@keaton_hiveon didn’t mean you can’t with other miners, just that bz is the only miner using 810 on my rig. So it shouldn’t have happened

It can’t be a problem with my set up, since it is tuned. Either hive isn’t passing it on, or bz ignores it.

would it make a difference, for bz to go haywire?

The last log where bz worked correctly doesn’t state why. Think bz doesn’t show why it terminated. However, it could have been autoswitch changing currency. Did took a bit over a minute between runs. Also there could had been a network issue. The next run seems to had network problems, but that shouldn’t had caused it to grab all the gpus

i would try to figure out why its crashing and resolve that. alternatively you can try another miner and see if the issue persists.

would love to try another lol, but not an option. I’m already using all the other possible miners Maybe a custom one

Usually I noticed it grabs all the cards when it restarts. I need to shutdown and do a cold boot. I have noticed something strange during the boot process when it will fail. Haven’t had a chance to grab it, maybe next time syslog doesn’t seem rotate

yeah, and lolminer is better for kaspa as well, so win win. miniz for flux and lol for kaspa. lolminer can also lock mem at 810.

as I said, I am already using all the other options (gminer, lolminer, trm). Currently lolminer is mining something else, so I can’t use it or any other miner bz seems to be the only option.

So my best choice is get bz to behave nicely

This is one of the flight sheets, most of the other 12 look similar. If I’m not using lolminer for the main one, then I use it for flux

Nonetheless, I had used bzminer on other simpler flight sheet, and it also misbehaved. I had been trying to stay away from bz, but have no choice now

It only happens with bz and no other miner. So not sure it is malware

Finally grabbed some screenshots of when it crashes. Strangely enough except for an obscure error, everything works! Finds the wireless card, connects flawlessly to the wifi network, and should have worked (and still waits for 2m). However, it is when this happens that bz misbehaves

Maybe you know how to fix an msr error? The linux kernel is disabling userspace writes to MSR in version 5.9

When this happens, bz takes over all the cards, and the rig crashes (wrong oc for the seized cards?). Somehow bz decides to lock all the memory at 810

Not going to post 12 fs lol Would be great if there was a mass search and replace for fs! It is a pain to edit all fs when need to make a change
