Is Core i3 10100 really worth it

Hello there,

I was thinking of buying a 10400, but the price difference between it and Corei3 10100 is unreal, at least where I live - 200€ vs 120€.

So my idea is for now to buy a cheap 10100 and later (maybe in 1 year) upgrade with a better next-gen CPU.

Therefore, I just wanted to ask if it would be good or am I making a mistake? Thanks

For a mining rig? Cheaper the better.
