I have problem with this SFF desktop. It has 1 PCIE X16 and 3 PCIE X1. I use PCIE 1 to 4 splitter and can only get total 6 cards to work. Once I connect the 7th card, HiveOS won’t load. I disabled sound and on board VGA.
Intel Q85 Express chip set, support 8 PCIE lanes.
splitters are hit or miss especially with the older oems that dont give you traditional bios settings for pcie gen and such. 6 is likely all youll be able to reliably run.
All 4 on splitter are working, the 2 PCIEx1 won’t work. The PCIEX1 all work if I only connect 6 cards.
can you force pcie gen 1 or gen 2?
Default is gen2. Can’t find gen 1 option in bios.
seems like par for the course for those oem motherboards
