I have 10 S19J’s using Hiveos ASIC firmware which are on a schedule to mine from 8pm to 6am. This works well but when the miners are suspended their fan speeds stay at a high level using power and making considerable noise.
Is there any way to reduce the fan speeds while the Antminers are suspended?
In the firmware tab on hiveos, what do you have the lowest fan pwm set to?
It is set to 15%
Correction. Some were at 15% and others were at 30%. I set them all to 15% but the fans still blow at nearly 100% in suspension.
When I was using the Bitmain firmware the sleep mode reduced the fan speeds significantly. I was hoping that the Hiveon firmware would as well.
As a warning to others don’t try using shutdown.
I tried it and it shut down the miner but fried the microSD in the Xylinx card preventing further communications. I had to replace the microSD containing the Hiveos firmware to get it working again.
