How many gpus on this mobo?

Hi everybody,
i have a Gigabyte H110-D3A mobo with 5 gpus already inside and i want to extend the rig buying more gpus.
This card has five 1X slots(all used from my 5 gpus) and one 16X PCI-E free slot, so if i buy a 1 to 6 splitter to use the 16X slot to connect 6 risers with 6 new gpus, will the mobo work?
Thanks again

Splitters are hit or miss depending on board, settings and cards. It could work or it could not.

Tnx, but in general, how many gpus can my mobo manage for mining in Hiveos?

That heavily depends on the motherboard. Some will do 4, others 15 without issue.

If you want to run a lot of gpus id recommend getting a board intended to use with that many like the asus mining expert or h110 pro btc+

I understand.
But if just i want to try, can i get another 1 to 4 splitter to connect on one of the five 1X riser slots and hope that the splitter will work?
That is, a splitter must be connected only to the 16X PCI-E slot, so it can use the wider band available or can i connect it to an 1X slot hoping it works?

Depends on the interface, does it have a 1x connector? If so putting it into a wider laned slot won’t do much unless you need those lanes to come from the cpu instead of the chipset. Like I said, it may or may not work, if you want something that will work without an issue, those boards exist and for a reason.

Depends of interface of what?
The mobo one or the splitter one?

The splitter, is it a 1x pcie connector or 8x or 16x? If it’s a 1x, putting it into a slot with more lanes won’t do anything.

The box says it’s a multiplier Pci-e1x to 4.
