I’m trying to add new cards to my rig, it was running stable with 2 GTX 1060s, I plugin in one or two more GTX 1060s, and I get the following error
“Fatal GPU error: CUDA error in func search at line 461 an illegal instruction was encountered” and the miner crashes, reboots, mines for a few seconds and crashes again.
Try to put new cards instead old and run rig. If it not works - problem in cards.
Was a bit of a headache to sort out, because was a combination of things. One bad riser mixed with bios settings, had to switch all pcie lane speeds to gen 2.
