Earnings down 50% since last week?

not sure thought I read somewhere it was doing it in hiveos now but maybe not dont have any non ti cards to test around with.

Well, the eth core devs all seem really hell bent on pushing on towards PoS and they’re clearly not going to do anything about the ASICS. My guess is that they want the ASICS to serve as nodes for the remainder of life. In a all core dev call there was an EIP that would disable or render ASICS pretty much useless but it was voted down in a real hurry.

I for one am looking into another currency because eth is really starting to have that bitcoiny feeling where only ASICS can render profit and centralization is inevitably going to occur.

The tone towards the miners in the eth cat herder calls was kind of demeaning and some of the devs (one in particular) was actually outwards hostile.

The devs want eth to go 2.0 and all the heavy hitters that have staked or are about to stake their eth want to be alone on top

Maybe I’m just in a bad mood and EIP1559 actually will contribute to higher eth value offsetting the decrease in miner rewards and maybe the pools will actually share some of the proposed MEV with the rest of the pool.

Either way… keep your eyes open and start thinking of where to move your hashpower.

Haffulawl is correct. The founder of ETH is switching from “Proof of Work” to “Proof of Stack” in ETH 2.0. For those of you who don’t know, Proof of Work (PoW) requires mining. Proof of Stake (PoS) does not. ETH 2.0 is shifting over to PoS and miners will no longer be needed. The rollout started late last year which is clearly reducing mining returns. Eventually no one will be able to mine ETH anymore. It has nothing to do with your hardware, but everything to do with ETH 2.0 going to PoS.

Do a Google search for “ETH 2.0” and “ETH 2.0 mining” and you find numerous articles about the change. In fact, there is a group of miners talking about doing a 51% attack on the ETH blockchain to prevent ETH 2.0 from being fully implemented. Also, mining pool operators have taken positions both pro and con on ETH 2.0. Do some research and you will discover why your mining results for ETH are diminishing.

From a business perspective in your mining, you should be looking at other coins to mine. That is, find alternatives for your mining operations and don’t rely solely on ETH. I heard about ETH 2.0 last year, so I have been looking at other coins to mine and testing them to see what they will produce. Examples are Litecoin, Firo, ZiIquilla, Ravencoin and others. I am prepared to switch over from ETH to other coins when ETH drops to point of no longer being profitable. I suggest each of you do the same.

I’m using Phoenix miner and I’ve been fluctuating from $7 a day to $15 today. Hashing ≈ 100 M/H so who knows?

The value or gas should not effect the amount you mine, only thing that changes that is difficulty. We have taken a hit as well, mining 0.017 per day vs 0.020 so not nearly as drastic as yours. But yes, its down.

Any links you could share that talk about those flashbots in the dark forest ?

here is one in depth on…havent read this one all the way but there is same stuff i mentioned…just make a search and u will find… btw…could be that flash bots were actually flash boys??

If u come up with some interesting info, please share as like u are explaning to 14yrs old

ETH

If u want to explore the space https://zkga.me/ :+1: :+1:

Well… diminishing revenue is most likely due to on onslaught of ASICS joining the network.
In less than 6 months I can tell you it will be meaningless more or less to mine on GPU’s.

Okay, what is the deal with these exchanges? What percentages do they charge? Do they require ID and all the hoo-rah to exchange anything or withdraw it? Can I mine directly to my account on SOUTHxCHANGE?

when u set up wallet, u can set it up to any wallet account. check the specs from hive knowledge base

Time to bomb china, ironic mode ON

have anyone compared different pool and their revards&fees? Allso if u have more that 1 worker on hiveonpool u are playing 3% dev fee… cant find is that per mont or each payout. I have 2 rigs so i belive that changing to payed account is cheaper for me with 3$/rig rather than 3% from, lets say 1500$ revards in month and 3% from that
… so… I checked erhermine pool, thats with 1% fee and u can set payout etc other features… didnt mine there yet enough time to compare rewards… but i have read that there may be significant difference in rewards on different pools. Any info and experience about pools are much appreciated

I wouldn’t mind some extra shares

dev fee is relative to amount of time you mine, one example is once every 90 minutes the miner works for the devs for 30 seconds.

kay, so its not related to payouts in any way?

I quite agree with you but it is also clear that a centralized ether is much more vulnerable to attacks, everything indicates that the classic ether will rise strongly, where some people see crisis others see business opportunity

I wonder. My (Only the Asus ones) 3060’s are just randomly quitting on me.
Then, the whole rig is dropping down to the “I’m an nVidia exec and I sure love it when people around the world hate me” hash rate from the 35 or so that the lolminer manages when stable.
Curious what the Trigger Event is for this? It’s more profitable to just mine Octopus.
Meh, I just slapped T-Rex Octopus on the two Asus cards that are getting The Vapors, and left the other cards cranking out Ethereum.

the second card from top and seventh from top are the ones now doing Octopus.
I recommend T-Rex if you are on nVidia. It seems to be compatible with multi-miner situations more than NBminer.

so sad(

good catch! :boom:

u still think so? interesting subject…there is loads of people that have just invested $$$$ to expencive gear . It dont look too good… but who knows…maybe they come up with some coins to mine to utilize this massive amount of hash power…its anyways big money if u just skim a slice from every miner.
If i would have the recources i would defo take advantage and cash off from all these rigs as long as possible! lol
