Discord Bot Guide
Let’s look how to setup step-by-step and use new notification channel - Discord.
Actually Discord is a free instant messenger with support for VoIP and video conferencing. You can use it as an alternative or in parallel with our Telegram bot.
Create new discord server (if don’t have one)
Open the Discord and create a new server by clicking on the button on the panel
We’ll use ‘MyHive’ as an example server name.
Create a server invite link
Adding the Discord bot to your server
Head over to your farm’s settings page and under the notification area, click on ‘Subscribe’ followed by the Discord tab. Click on the link to invite the bot to your server.
Authorize the bot addition
And type the hive.start
command in Discord
The bot then replies with an authorization code
Copy this code and paste it in your Discord Notification tab under Farm settings. Click on the ‘Subscribe’ button.
Send a command as described on the web interface
Your status will change to ‘subscribed’ if the process was successful.
Login for Discord bot
Testing
Run a couple of commands to test our Bot.
For example, let’s execute via “Run” simple command hello
and some wrong/not exist command likehello11
We see messages on our server from Discord Hive Bot so we’re finished.
