7x Gigabyte Geforce RTX 2060 OC edition runs 220% more Power than it should

So i have a question. i have a rig with 7 Gigabyte RTX 2060’s its doing great mining CFX.

However, the power drain is insane. Its using 2000 Watts, while hiveOS is saying its using around 900 watts. The PSU is a 1650 watt powersupply, and its coping fine. Any advice on this? Its crazy much power draw at the outlet. All my other rigs, 1660 super, 3060 Ti and 3070 Draws more or less the same as the HiveOS miner says. What gives? Bad PSU?

It does this power draw also if mining Etherium with -500 core and no OC on the memory.

I too, suspect the PSU could be part of your problem, but it doesn’t add up well does it? Sounds like you’re handling the power limit with overclock settings. Are you measuring at the wall with a trustworthy meter? Kill-a-watt or similar? Seems like your PSU would croak if the draw is really 2000W.

I don’t have 2060s, but have a rig with 2070S, 3070, and 3080. The power draw at the wall is about 30W higher than what is shown at HiveOS and that is about what I expect. That is running with 1 EVGA 1300 G+ PSU. My 2070S power limit is set at 125 in OC settings. Try a different meter to double check or different PSU if you can. Good luck!
