7900xtx settings?

Hi Folks,

Trying to get my 7900xtx working. There appears to have been some talk here in the forum but it then suddenly stopped without any conclusion.

I also don’t see anything listed under the overclocking (popular) presets - I went through about 120 pages - really need a search feature there…

Anyway, the onlything I can find searching is this:

So (in the spirit of taking 1 for the team I tried those settings. Rather I tried to enter them and I couldn’t enter a voltage offset? It’s like the minus sign on my keyboard suddenly wouldn’t type.

So I guess…has anyone:

  • Been able to (reliably) mine on a 7900xtx?

  • If the above answer is “yes” can anyone share their settings?

  • Or does my “search fu” suck that much I should just go back to bed?

I have a 7900xtx, best settings vary card to card and obviously algo to algo.

The 7900xtx doesnt have working memory control, but core clock and voltage offset are both working. Basically find the core clock that youre happy ish with hashrate/power draw, then find the largest negative offset that is stable for lowest power draw. Here’s my 7900xtx on warthog since there isnt really anything great to mine with amd gpus right now

Just for grins, you wouldn’t have any idea why I can’t seem to actually enter a VO would you? It’s like the minus sign (dash -) on my keyboard isn’t recognized. I can type numbers, but of course they’re bigger than “0” so can’t be saved.

Granted this is in the “Overclocking Templates” rather than on the card directly on a flight sheet.

Of course it could always be my version of firefox being onery…

Is everything on the latest version? if so try ctrl + f5 and if that still doesnt work, and your - button is actually working, try from another browser or incognito mode

Just to follow up…

Changing browsers didn’t seem to do anything. HOWEVER here is what apparently did:

I had to go to the Overclocking tab for the whole worker and could change it there. Whereas, when I tried to change it for a specific card it didn’t :roll_eyes:

One of many reasons I’ve left the IT world…
