adding a new card to an old rig. tried different drivers nothing seems to work. any suggestions?
Interesting!
Can you confirm that the 5060Ti drivers are installed if you removed the 1070 and 1660 cards?
The fact that those two other cards have off lined driver support suggests there is a logic error of sorts in the driver built for HiveOS.
I say that because with three cards no matter what branding variations gave me issues when they were not the same card model and was only three cards installed.
For one, i see in your picture it’s on the latest HiveOS build and has a 1070, 1660 installed which by my research suggests your running these cards in backwards compatibility driver mode on the 570.144 drivers and for 5060Ti
It’s not HiveOS it’s the drivers i think.
Try to manually override the driver selection by installing another version for the 1070 and 1660. try 525.1* from nvidia or guru it.
It may be possible to run any card together on driver 570 if you have a separate worker for the older off lined cards and then another worker for the newest cards.
That driver came out in April, which is older than the 5060ti. Nvidia releases drivers that are compatible with the gpus the same day they launch, so your driver needs to be no older than the gpu itself.
If you go to nvidias driver search page you can enter in your gpu type, and linux 64 bit and it will tell you which driver number to use,
Then in hive put that driver number after the update command,
nvidia-driver-update 570.172.08
